Kristi had a CT Scan done today on the lower half of her body (lower back, hips and femurs). The scan showed some weak areas that the Doctor seamed concerned about. He was mainly concerned because he doesn’t want them to worsen and become larger issues and problems for her.

He’s having her start radiation on “pretty much the lower half” (in Kristi’s words) of Kristi to try and take care of these areas quickly. Not sure as of right now when this new round of Radiation will be starting, but we’ll update as soon as we know.

Be in prayer for these areas of Kristi’s body! Like before, we’re praying for a supernatural outcome of her treatments!

The doctors had Kristi stay an extra night at the hospital after her surgery so they could do an MRI on her backbone to make sure things were alright. I received a text from Robert around 7:40am this morning saying she was finally able to have an MRI done between 12 and 2am this morning; haven’t been told the results of that.

I just received a call from Robert (10:00am) saying she will be going through 10 more days of radiation that will be focused on her backbone.

Pray for the radiation to help clear up more of the cancer in her backbone. Pray big! Pray for it to exceed the expectations of the doctors!

Last Tuesday Kristi had an X-ray done on her left hip because of the weakness she’d been feeling when she would walk or put any sort of weight on it. The X-ray showed that she is close to having a break in that area because of the cancer.

The doctors have suggested she have surgery to place a metal rod in her femur of her left thigh to help take most of the weight off of that side of her hip.

Today (8/31/11) Kristi has a scheduled surgery at 4:00pm for this procedure to be done.

Be in prayer that the surgery goes well. Also be in prayer that the rod helps and that she doesn’t have to deal with another broken bone. Keep praying for healing of the cancer in her bones so that the current breaks, and the ones that could soon be breaks, heal completely.
